How small are we ???

Location: KFC outlet, opposite Hotel Oberoi Grand, Kolkata

Time: 9.00 pm

A guy around 26, comes in the store. He looks at the menu. Looking at his roundly shaped physique, even a blind man could have said that he’s there for his Love of FOOD.

He was complete foodie, which was clear after he spent about 10 mins on the menu which he could even blabber out in sleep. Finally he decided to get 2 burgers & 4 portion of different chicken.

The moment he looked up from menu, there was no one at counter to take his order. He was kind of pissed. But there came this young boy, pleasantly smiling, to take his order.

The order began. “2 chicken zinger burgers, 2 piec….” The boy stopped him & signaled to slow down. The guy, with weird looks stared his order again. This time he showed him what exactly he wants on menu as well.

The boy over the counter smiled & signaled for 2 mins.

In next 5 sec.s; the guy got shock of his life. The boy behind the counter told his counterpart inside the kitchen : “ Ummaa Ummaannmmm eeuuu; n aaeeuuu eiken eiiaaeeass”

He was def & dumb. The order was placed in 1 shot. Guy got curious that how do they work?

He looked around & saw a mix of people; def & dumb as well as who can listen & speak normally. Still the show was running smoothly. Each customer placed his order. A person on opposite side of counter “Lip-Read” the order & COMMUNICATED it to the worker in kitchen. The order is ready & delivered to customer. Without even a single error of judgment.

If someone does not pay attention, it is a high possibility he may not even know that who was across the counter. He would definitely miss the SPECIAL Person there.

The boy signaled to the guy: “10 min.s Plz”

These 10 min.s sent the guy to introspection. “What do I have? A perfect body with all organs working perfectly fine. What is the possibility of me making excuses to not do some simple things? Probably 70%.”

Yes. The harsh truth hit him hard. & here was he looking at perfectly fine KFC worker, with 105% efficiency, very fast & always with smiling face.

Order came & boy gave it to guy. Boy was smiling. Guy tried to replicate it, but failed. He just held boy’s hand & thanked him from bottom of his heart.

The work of that boy gave many answers to the guy, many of them on life. But still the guy was left with 1 unanswered question in his mind.

“Actually How small are we?”
